There are over 1.8 billion people on the internet.Many use the internet for fun. However, many use the internet as an opportunity for them to make money.

Many people who put their focus upon internet marketing are in network marketing. Why? It is an online business that can generate you a passive income. By generating a passive income, you can make money in network marketing without doing any work. Imagine waking up in the morning and realizing that you have made $2000 in one day. Yes it is possible.

To be successful in network marketing, you have to be persistent and diligent. You have to take action every day until you see results. Setting goals can also lead you to great achievements in the future. For instance, set a goal to get 170 prospects and distributors to visit you online business. With the goal set up, take action every day.

People need to understand that without direct action nothing can happen by itself. If you are persistent and diligent than you will be one step closer to generating a passive income.
I am in network marketing for 7 years now. To tell you the truth, my beginning was a hassle. I just did not know what steps to take to get prospects and distributors to visit my website. Prospects and distributors visited my website without me doing any hard work.

This example shows that when I was failing in network marketing, I did not give up. I took action and researched on ways I could attract endless flow of prospects and distributors. The same lesson goes for you too.If you want to be successful in network marketing, you have to be committed to strive towards being successful.

Selling is a skill that is learn able, and takes time to adjust. Without having the right social skills, selling will be hard for people to learn. Having the confidence to approach any person and sell your product, means you are one step closer to success in selling. However, when most people think about approaching someone, and promoting their product, their mind confronts them with negative thoughts on why they should not approach that person.

Everyone has their own comfort zone. Why? because people's minds function because it protects the owner. As a result, not getting out of your comfort zone, and always listening to your minds negative thoughts and not taking action, will lower your confidence and self-esteem.

There is a rule in selling known as 80/20 rule. For instance, 80% of people get 20% of the money in selling, and 20% of people get the 80% of money in selling. What do you think is different between the 80% of people who get 20% of the money, and the 20% who get the 80% of the money? simply, those who get 20% of the money, think negatively about their selling skills. Consequently, they have no confidence to approach and promote their product, and have low self-esteem. However, those who get the 80% of the money think positive about their selling skills. Moreover, their confidence and self-esteem is to the maximum level.

Researcher have found out that people who first get into the selling business, always think negatively about their selling skills. Yet, the people who succeed in selling are always persistent and conquer their negative thoughts and find a way out of their comfort zone.

Setting Goals

Without setting goals, success can not be achieved. If you set goals and achieve in it, you will feel like the most proudest person in this world. Moreover, you should start setting goals from today.

The first goals that you should set up is your long-term goals. Write down what you would want to achieve in the next 5-10 years.

Long-term goals can also be from a month to a year. When writing goals like that, you should put a time deadline. For instance, write "By May 17 2010, I want to buy myself a Chevrolet Camarro."

If you have the time deadline written down, you get more motivated to achieve the goal. On the other hand, if you do not have it written down, you will get into the procrastinator zone.

Than you should focus on your short-term goals. Short term goals can be brushing your teeth, working out for 20 minutes, reading for 30 minutes, etc...

Short-term goals have a big benefit. By achieving those small goals every day, you become disciplined little by little. Consequently, setting short-term goals is essential for your success.
